Domenick Stampone

Mayor Domenick Stampone has been leading Haledon through trying economic and fiscal times. While other towns throughout Passaic County are cutting services and raising taxes, the Stampone Administration has been streamlining services and working with County, State, and Federal officials to deliver for Haledon.

Maha Kandis

Council President Maha Kandis is an active member of the Haledon community. She serves as an executive board member of the Circassian Benevolent Association in Wayne and is raising her young daughter. A graduate of Manchester Regional High School, her roots in Haledon span back a generation. Maha graduated from the University of Rochester with a degree in Molecular Genetics and a Master’s degree in Microbiology from Westchester Medical College.





Mounir Almaita

Mounir Almaita has made a career out of educating and mentoring children as a Social Studies teacher at John F. Kennedy High School in Paterson and adjunct Professor at Passaic County Community College. As a member of the Manchester Regional High School Board of Education, Mounir is implementing the experience from his day job to improve Haledon’s public school system. With educational dollars making up over 60% of our tax bills, Mounir’s experience working on the Board of Education will be indispensable on the Haledon Council.





Michael Johnson

Michael Johnson is a Detective with the Paterson Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit, and has been dedicating his life to serving the community and keeping our children and families safe. A newcomer to electoral politics, Michael’s law enforcement background will be indispensible on the Haledon Council.
